Mercury is the innermost and smallest planet in the Solar System, the earliest known recorded observations of Mercury are most likely made by an Assyrian astronomer around the 14th century BC. The Romans named the planet after the swift-footed Roman messenger god, Mercury (Latin Mercurius), which they equated with the Greek Hermes, because it moves across the sky faster than any other planet So is not possible to say eaxctly who was the first that discovered the Planet Mercury 'cause , as for other Planets like Venus, Mars, Jupiter due to the fact that it shine so brigth in the Sky we can say that Mercury has been known since the beginning of Mankind.
