Silver is a chemical element in the periodic table that has the symbol Ag, (abbreviation of the Latin Argentum) and atomic number 47.

It is a metal transition, soft, white and shiny, and is the best conductor of heat and electricity among all metals. In nature Silver is found in pure form or as a mineral (argentite and chlorargyrite).

Is not possible to say exactly who was the first that discovered the element Silver because Silver is known since the ancient time.

Objects made of silver dated back to some 3000 ys BC, has been discovered in different areas of the world, in Asia Minor and on islands in the Aegean Sea.
