Iron oxide is a chemical compound composed by Iron and Oxygen. There are different iron oxides with different chemical formula.

FeO Wustite

Fe2O3 Hematite (Red)

Fe3O4 Magnetite (Black)

FeO(OH)·nH2O Limonite

Iron oxides are the basic components of what is known as Rust.
